The 9th program of “Vinh Quang Viet Nam " in 2011 honoring 21 collectives, individuals, Labor Heros, Heros of the Armed Forces and advanced models of patriotic emulation movement in many fields of life was held on 18th December at the Hanoi Opera House.
7 excellent collectives and 14 individuals honored at the 9th program of “Vinh Quang Viet Nam” were typical examples in many fields. They were the examples in the field of productive labor of Labor Hero Nguyen Dang Giap - Colonel, Chairman of the Board of Directors cum General Director of Company 36 of Ministry of Defense; Labor Hero Pham Xuan Hong- Chairman of Board of Directors cum General Director of Sai Gon 3 Garment Company; Engineer Nguyen The Trinh – Commander of machine installation of Son La hydroelectricity; Viettel Telecom Company; Dong Phu rubber Joint Stock Company.
In the field of struggling, preventing crime and protecting political security and social order and safety, there were Mr. Nguyen Duc Cuong-Police Major; Mr. Vu Trong Hai- Lieutenant colonel of Border Guard; Mr. Nguyen Thanh Hai- Leader of Thu Dau Mot Crime Prevention club (Binh Duong province)…
Besides, there were some simple people with admirable actions such as Mr. Mai Phung Luu-Fisherman at Ly Son island (Quang Ngai province) who braved danger to patiently stay in Hoang Sa island in order to protect it; Tran Van Truyen (Da Nang City) saved 11 victims and picked up 8 dead bodies in a shipwreck at Bai Ham beach under foot of Hai Van mountain when he was 14…
The spectators also had an opportunity to watch the video clips talking about the owners’ achievements of "Vinh quang Viet Nam"; exchange and share with typical individuals and representatives of collectives. Although working in different fields but they had great efforts of devoting all their intelligence and creation in study and working in order to contribute deservedly into the cause of building and defending the country. They were the symbol of spirit and willpower of Vietnamese and Vietnam strength in the new era.
The honor of good examples in "Vinh Quang Viet Nam" program contributed to develop and spread patriotic emulation movement in all fields of life, to call and encourage cadres, soldiers and all the people participating in striving and emulating in order to contribute their effort to the cause of building and developing the country. The individuals and representatives of collectives honored in the program were offered flowers by the President Truong Tan Sang and awarded the medal by the Organization Committee.
The 9th program of “Vinh Quang Viet Nam” was jointly organized by Labor newspaper, Propaganda Department (General Political Department of Vietnam People's Army), Vietnam Television and Asian Friendship Company under the direct guidance of the Central Emulation and Commendation Committee, General Politic Department of Vietnam People's Army.
