Busadco was established on 18^th June 2003 at the Decision No.5884/QD-UB of the People’s Committee of BR-VT Province (PPC) and changed to One Member Limited Company at the Decision No.2465/QD-UB dated 23rd July 2008 of the People Committee of Ba Ria Vung Tau Province. Busadco was certified as a Scientific and Technological Business at the Certificate No.01/DNKHCN dated 13th April 2009 issued by the Department of Science and Technology of Ba Ria Vung Tau Province.

Busadco is the first scientific and technological business of the country with organizational structure being a One Member Limited Comany, organized in the form of the Chairman cum General Director, controller including: General Director Board; 20 units directly under the Company: 02 subsidiaries, 05 branches, 06 functional departments and 07 Project management units. Total staff and employees of the Company up to 31^st December 2015: 661 people, including 207 specialized engineers and bachelors, 20 masters and 01 doctor.

Ba Ria – Vung Tau Urban Sewerage and Development One Member Limited Company (Busadco) is 100% state owned Company working for public interest in the form of Parent – Subsidiary companies. Busadco is certificated as the Scientific and Technological business by the Ministry of Science and Technology. It has 05 operating sectors including:

• Activity for public interest in the field of urban drainage field;
• General consultancy service of construction, environmental and commercial services;
• Construction and installation of civil works, industrial and urban infrastructure;
• Investment and development of projects in multi-fields;
• Research and application of science and technology.

Activities for public interest:

• Being the project owner, constructing the projects of drainage, wastewater and solid waste treatment and other projects from state budget assigned by The People’s Committee of Ba Ria - Vung Tau Province.
• Managing ODA Funds assigned by The People’s Committee of Ba Ria - Vung Tau Province to invest in construction of the wastewater collection, treatment system and environmental sanitation in the province.
• Managing, exploiting and using the systems of equalization and regulation lakes, channels, ditches, tidal interceptor and sluice gates in order to serve the requirements of urban drainage.
• Maintaining, protecting and operating the wastewater system in the urban areas of Ba Ria – Vung Tau province.
• Controlling discharges from households, businesses, enterprises, units connected into the urban drainage system.
• Planning and managing the construction investment of the rain-water and wastewater drainage network according to the planning approved by the competent authorities.
