Last night, 15^th April, the closing ceremony of the first extended food festival of the coastal provinces and cities was taken place at Vung Tau Tourism Market.

 

The first extended food festival of the coastal provinces and cities was taken place for 5 days, from 11^th to 15^th April, attracted more than 40,000 local people and tourists visiting, shopping and enjoying the food. There were about 400 dishes with typical cuisine of the regions all over the country introduced to diners and visitors by 33 units doing business in the fields of hotels, restaurants, food stores, food processing in and outside the province. The organization, food quality, food safety, environmental hygiene, security... during the festival was guaranteed. Besides the commercial activities, the festival was an opportunity for the participating units to compete and perform the art of cooking, trimming fruits and vegetables, displaying fruits and decorating their kiosks to the visitors.

At the end of the festival, the Organization Board awarded the first prize for dish to Thuy Van hotel (under Vungtau tourist); 2 second prizes to Rex Hotel and Palace Hotel (under OSC Vietnam). There were 6 additional prizes including: The prize for the most beautifully decorated kiosk and the prize for the most beautiful art of trimming and displaying fruits to OSC Vietnam; The dish of "Freshwater Crab kept with salt" of the Bien Dong Ocean Park (under Vungtau tourist) won the most unique one; The prize of trimming performance for vegetables – bulbs – fruits belonged to Thuy Van Hotel (under Vungtau tourist); The prize of the Chef performing the most attractive cooking art on the premises belonged to Grand Hotel (OSC Vietnam); Mot thoang Mien Tay Restaurant (Tien Giang) won the prize of the kiosk with the most extensive menu.
