(SGGPO) – In the morning of 5^th November, in Vung Tau City, Ministry of Science and Technology inaugurated the event of "Techdemo 2015".

The event had the attendance of about 1,000 delegates from the Departments of Science and Technology; institutes, universities, enterprises in the Southern region. The area where the technology demo was taken place included the participation of 150 businesses with nearly 300 machines, high-tech equipments being ready to be transferred and applied into the life.

This activity of connecting supply-demand for technology is an opportunity for the organizations and individuals in domestic and abroad to solve the demand of ordering technological research and development. This will promote the application, transfer and innovation of technology in areas as well as serve the socio-economic development of the Southern region.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Quan - The Minister of Science and Technology evaluated the Techdemo 2015 was one of activities with a large-scale, receiving a lot of attention and participation of Vietnam technology market. Currently, Vietnam would have to face with the difficulties and challenges when joining the ASEAN economic community and Trans-Pacific Partnership. This event was meaningful not only to the science and technology but also to our economy. Because of only relying on science and technology and with it, we could overcome these challenges.

According to Mr. Nguyen Quan - The Minister of Science and Technology, the technology market of Vietnam had been pretty immature, had not been prepared as the real estate or economic market... Therefore, the technology market should be placed in priority level for further development in the future. This event would contribute to forming the intermediary institutions, helping the units, enterprises which had demand for connecting technology to sign technological contracts being appropriate for their demands.
